Where can I buy tickets for the harbor tour?
You can purchase the tickets either online on our homepage or on site at the shipping office of the Germania Schifffahrtsgesellschaft or in the pavilion at the harbor.
What payment options do you offer?
You can use Giropay, Visa and Mastercard, PayPal and iDEAL to purchase tickets online. You can pay on site with an EC card or in cash.
Are there discounts for children, families and groups?
Yes, we offer discounts for children and special family tickets. Groups of 25 or more people can also benefit from discounts by arrangement.
Do I have to buy the tickets in advance or can I travel spontaneously?
Buying tickets in advance will guarantee you a seat. Spontaneous rides are also possible, but we cannot guarantee that there will be seats available.
I can't take part in the harbor tour – can I cancel the trip?
You can cancel the trip free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts.
Where does the ship depart from?
Our pier is located on the Wilhelm-Klopp-Promenade directly at the Dr.-vom-Bruch-Bridge.
Is there catering on board?
There is no catering on the canal boat “Koralle”. However, you can get drinks beforehand in the “Ostfriesische Teestube am Hafen”, which is located directly at the pier. You can also stop there before or after the trip.
Can I smoke on board?
Smoking is not permitted on board.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
You are allowed to bring your own drinks on board. Food is not permitted, with the exception of small snacks, provided that they do not disturb other guests.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you can take your dog with you as long as he gets along well with people, children and other dogs.
Can I travel with a wheelchair, walking aid or stroller?
The canal boat “Koralle” is not wheelchair accessible. However, there is space to store wheelchairs or walking aids. To get on board, you have to walk a few steps and climb down a small staircase onto the canal boat. We ask for your understanding.
Alternatively, our Ems dream ship “Warsteiner Admiral” and the salon ship “Hafenmusik” offer barrier-free access. The ships can be reached via a gangway and have appropriate sanitary facilities. You can find more information about our other boat trips here.
Are there toilets on board?
There are no toilets on board the “Koralle”. There are public toilets directly at the pier and our guests are welcome to use the toilets in the “Ostfriesische Teestube am Hafen”.
Do you also drive in the rain?
Yes, we sail even when it rains, because the canal boat “Koralle” is protected all around.
Is there parking near the pier?
The following parking options are available near the
pier:
Parking space P10 – parking lot at the scales, Neue Straße 1, 26789 Leer (fees apply)
Parking space P9 – Große Bleiche 2, 26789 Leer (free of charge) is protected.
